Welcome to Ministry in the Golden Isles!
As a student ministry in the beautiful Golden Isles of Georgia (perfectly situated just an hour between Savannah, GA and Jacksonville, FL), you can expect a summer filled with growth, adventure, and unforgettable experiences. Here’s a glimpse of what awaits you:
Tons of Teenagers Ready to Connect
Get ready to meet hundreds of middle school and high school students who are genuinely eager to get to know you, hang out with you, and learn from your example. Whether it’s through small groups, late-night conversations, or summer events, you’ll have the opportunity to pour into their lives and point them toward Jesus in a real, relational way.
Beaches, Beauty, and Endless Things to Do
The Golden Isles aren’t just a ministry hotspot — they’re a destination. Imagine ending your day watching the sunset over St. Simons Island Pier, grabbing coffee from a local café, or spending your day off on the sand with your new friends. Between the beaches, historic sites, local restaurants, and coastal culture, you’ll never run out of things to enjoy.
A Strong Community of Churches
You won’t be doing ministry alone. The Golden Isles has a unique network of churches that have come together to invest in you and the mission. You’ll experience what it looks like when the body of Christ unites around a shared vision — supporting you with encouragement, prayer, and resources every step of the way.
Life-Long Relationships to Build
This summer is about more than programs and events — it’s about people. You’ll form deep, lasting relationships with the students you lead, their families who welcome you in, and the broader community that becomes like a second home. These aren’t just summer connections — they’re the kind of relationships that stay with you long after August ends.
Friendships That Shape Your Life
You’ll be part of a team of college-aged interns, living and serving side-by-side all summer long. Together, you’ll laugh, work hard, pray, and create memories you’ll talk about for years. Many interns leave with friendships that become like family, shaping not only their ministry journey but their walk with Christ for the rest of their lives.
The Opportunity of a Lifetime
This isn’t just another summer job — it’s a chance to be part of something bigger than yourself. You’ll grow as a leader, stretch your faith, and see God move in powerful ways through you and around you. By the time the summer is over, you’ll walk away changed, carrying experiences and lessons that will shape the rest of your life.

These videos below will give you a glimpse of what you will be doing if you join us for an amazing summer and what the college internship is like.
“You don’t have to be enrolled in college to join our college internship. We simply ask that you’re at least the age of a freshman who has completed their first year — ready to serve, grow, and invest in students alongside our team!”
You will receive $3,000 for the whole summer, along with valuable experience that can often count as an internship for your degree. Since we are a nonprofit, there are many opportunities to meet internship requirements across a wide range of majors. You’ll just need to check with your school to see what specific requirements are necessary for us to make it work.
Since this internship is only 10 weeks long, we ask that you have no prior commitments during the full duration of the program. Exceptions may be made for unplanned family emergencies or once-in-a-lifetime opportunities, but these must be pre-approved by the director before the summer begins.
Yes, you will need your own transportation while you’re here. Since you’ll be living in host homes, it’s important that you’re able to get yourself from place to place throughout the summer. You’ll be responsible for your own fuel, unless your car is specifically being used for a ministry event or trip — in those cases, we’ll cover the cost.
Yes! Housing is provided. You’ll be placed with a host family connected to the ministry for the summer. During your interview, we’ll take time to learn about your personality and lifestyle so we can match you with the host home that’s the best fit for you. Your host family is not required to provide meals, but many of them joyfully choose to do so — and when they do, we see it as a blessing, not an expectation.
